就如足球一樣，歐錦賽的規模甚至大過世界杯，花式溜冰感覺也一樣。昨夜是男子個人自由長曲比賽的日子，獲得長曲參賽權的選手有24名分成四組分別出賽，真的是後頭出場的選手等的地老天荒，看現場或實況的觀眾也同樣看的天荒地老……

短曲競賽，長度只有2分半左右，自由長曲可是四分半上下呀
算術很不好的球迷不太喜歡計算，足球正賽加上延長加上踢PK一決勝負及頒獎，大不了四個小時內，不過昨晚的歐錦賽比賽加頒獎時間高達五個多鐘頭，真是太佩服在現場看比賽的觀眾，球迷看了第二組選手不到一半就後繼無力了，剩下的自然就等醒來再看……

不過歐錦賽說成是養眼進補大賽真的一點也不過份
不管是老兵新秀一個個都很會搶鏡頭秀自己，好像是漫畫人物的真實版。

GP Final 在長曲比賽因傷棄權的Brian，賽前大家都擔心他恢復不了無法參加，沒想到他在比賽的兩週前開始訓練，還是趕上出場。經驗老到加上短曲爆發力驚人，他最近在短曲屢屢創出個人新高。

雖然在長曲表現上摔了摔，還是沒有摔掉第一名的寶座，都是因為長短曲兩邊的發揮與表現都很穩定的緣故。

沒有俄羅斯冰王子之後，
Brian Joubert這兩年雖然或多或少被傷病所累，不過只要出場還是最受人注目，歲月真的會讓人擁有自信與成熟

歐錦賽男子組很精彩，這些年亞洲的日韓魔女當道，歐錦賽的女子組相對之下比較沒有看頭，球迷決定只看精華選粹就好。(明明就是要回家過年，沒有時間看……)同時，決定冰舞的比賽就等看比賽重播就好

Joubert wins the men's competition

French Brian Joubert continued his already eight year long series of EC medals and won men’s competition with scores 232,01. Samuel Contesti climbed from the third place after the short program and took the silver medal with scores 220,92. Bronze medal went to Belgium for Kevin van der Perren with scores 219,96.


Last year’s WC silver medallist and EC bronze medallist Joubert told that he changed his program only two weeks ago.

- Today I went to skate with an open mind as I didn’t quite know what to expect. I knew it was going to be difficult, but I had a good sensation. I’m a bit disappointed about the mistakes in the lutz and the loop. Now I start concentrating on Worlds. All of the victories are important, but this one is the most important, because the beginning of the season ws so hard, he says.


Audience’s most favourite skater was charming Samuel Contesti who took the silver medal with his wild west free program.

- I’m very hapy about my medal since I ha to wait for three years without competing, because I moved from France to Italy. It has demanded sacrifices and hard work with my wife (also his coach), he tells.


Kevin van der Perren from Belgium had a dramatic competition due to his hip injury, but ended with a bronze medal.

- I was in a lot of pain, but I’m happy I got through my program. After the first Axel, it was almost over. This was my first clean free program this season. I’m surprised I did my personal best scores. In only practiced two weeks for the Europeans. This medal means so much to me, he assures.


Last year’s European champion Tomas Verner suffered a dramatic drop from second place after the short program and was left sixth place.
